Your Treatment: What to expect at Pacific Pain and Wellness Group To get started, you'll attend a consultation about the dosage and duration of your treatment. This will be based on your weight, so you will receive the proper amount at the proper rate. Your doctor will review your medical records and discuss your medical history with you. You will be in a private treatment room in the clinic's office. This room is set up for maximum comfort. There is no need to undress or get into a hospital gown, as the nurse will only need access to your arm to administer the IV. The infusion will take about an hour and you can expect to remain for about 30 minutes afterward for monitoring. You will need an adult to drive you back home after your IV treatment.
